Vargr

This is a third person Open world Hack and slash game I worked on for my capstone project. I was an all-rounder for this game. i worked on All the HUDs, with the exception of a few as well the UI. I also created the checkpoint system in  our game along with the audio.

Here is a demonstration of the flying enemy I worked on. It displays the tracking and movement after detecting the player.

This is me showing how the checkpoint system works. It saves when you pass through the trigger. if you pass through multiple it will respawn at the most recent one.

This is a look at some progress I made with a personal project of mine: It is an open world RPG that is inspired by the assassins creed series.

This is an early look at the level design. I plan on adding POIs to the world as well as  potentially expanding the world in the future.

This is the display of the basic weapons I currently have in the game.

This is a sneak peek at most of the mechanics I have started working on. This displays the weapon UI, the base mechanics of the quest system as well some early combat mechanics.  I also show some advance movements like vaulting and climbing.

This is my full level design presentation. This shows the inspiration as well as the pre planning phase.

This is a class project I am working on. We were tasked with making a small nonlinear level with three paths. Along with that we have 1 main objective and 3 optional ones.

backstory:

The logo I chose I feel best represents what I'm going for with my brand. It is nice and simple. The brand name is "the Gaming Experience". It was a name I came up with a few years ago. The meaning behind it is simple; Over the years it seems that most of the gaming companies have been cutting corners and underselling the us (the player). There has been countless buggy unfinished games at launch, Adding a pay wall for pre-promised content, and the worst of all the insane growth of RNG loot boxes. They have been using this as a way the get extra money out of their games. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with DLC and loot boxes but there is a time and place. With my brand, I want to help put the back the way they once were. I want to have fully finished games with actual DLC and optional purchasable items . If we go back 5 or even 10 years, you would never see something like that. I don't know exactly where things went wrong but I want to fix it and give all new and old gamers the best experience: THE GAMING EXPERIENCE. As for the color choice, I felt like black would have been a good choice but it is a bit too common. I instead went with the silvery blue.
